Argumentation Training Hate and Incitement

Together with the WEISSEN RING, the Muslim Academy Heidelberg and Mosaik Deutschland eV are offering an argumentation training course against hate and incitement, in which participants can learn action strategies to stand up against exclusion and injustice and to learn how to show civil courage in such situations. The application of various practical training methods should also make it possible to deal with judgmental thought patterns and everyday discrimination practices. Another central element are argumentation and action strategies, which can be practiced in a practical and model way and thus expand one's own ability to react to inhumane arguments. This should give people confidence in dealing with populist slogans." The Magstadt sports club and the Alliance for Democracy in Magstadt are organizing this seminar together to give as many members of the club as possible, as well as all other interested Magstadt residents, the opportunity to arm themselves against hate and incitement in everyday life. The events of the penultimate match day of the SVM football team in Sindelfingen showed how important it is to have one's own skills in order to be able to act calmly and thoughtfully in such situations. Here, players were racially abused after the final whistle.
